Amelia Fisher spied the weatherworn wooden bench as she passed a church courtyard near her college campus. Months later, when life grew harder and her faith felt distant, she returned, soaked in the quiet, and shared everything she was feeling with God for the first time in a while.
Amelia began writing about the moments when she stumbled upon or sought God's presence through her coming-of-age years. Her relatable, honest and humorous stories come together in 26 essays.
Her perspective will resonate with those seeking a closer relationship with God and those grounded in their faith alike. Ever-Present speaks in scripture as well as phrases more likely found in the Urban Dictionary or heard in a heart-to-heart over coffee.
Amelia is a middle child, avid sailor, leadfoot driver, frequent bench warmer and heart-on-her-sleeve friend. Her stories of uncertainty and successes take place across North Carolina as well as in a little village in Spain and on the wide open Caribbean Sea.
