A perfect series for both adults and children who are recovering from trauma, or for therapists to use with their patients. When a tragic event causes a mama bird to leave her nest, one of the baby birds, Flex, decides to try his wings out on his own. But after he is mocked for having pink spots under his wings, he vows to never fly again so his spots won't be seen! Flex's pain and his need to protect himself from being hurt are feelings that are familiar to most of us. Will the armor that has grown over Flex's body ever come off ? Will Flex ever learn to truly accept who he is? Flex is Book 5 of the heart-warming and thought-provoking River series by Sandy Stream. The series tells the story of Sparky, Sparky's mama, and her other offspring, but essentially, it tells the stories of all of us. Each book has lessons for each of us on how to have the courage to access our deepest wounds and heal them. This is a perfect series for those who want to explore their experiences using a fresh, honest, and intuitive approach.
