The Whispering Women

Can two women get the lowdown on high society?

In 1913, a society writer and a former lady's maid join forces to find the truth and avenge the wrongful death of a friend.

Louisa Delafield and Ellen Malloy didn't ask to be thrown together to bring the truth to light, but the unlikely pair navigate a soul-crushing class system to challenge the levers of power that control New York City's upper- and lower-classes alike.

After Ellen witnesses the death of a fellow servant under suspicious circumstances, Louisa, a society columnist, vows to help her find the truth and turn her journalistic talent to a greater purpose.

Our heroes find that their closest allies and those they trust turn out to be the very forces working to keep them in the dark. Will they overcome the odds? They'll face kidnappers, a sex trafficking ring, and a corrupt system determined to keep the truth at bay.
