Aetheria on Earth

After centuries away, Windermere, Merriweather, and Tinsel of the planet Aetheria return to their snug little cottage hidden in the woods and find they are in need of a new human assistant. Enter twelve-year-old Aisla: spirited, curious, dreaming of the adventure her quiet island life has never quite offered. After Aisla agrees to help them recover two powerful magical objects entrusted to their last assistant, the adventure she had been longing for seems to be finally here.

But Aisla's home, the remote wintry isle of Makepeace, is not so far removed from a world at war as she once thought. Powerful forces seem to be meddling in its affairs. And when a near relation suddenly returns from the war with a strange man and begins to make desperate requests of her, her loyalty to her new friends and to her home collide.

Richly imagined, delightfully strange, and set during the Christmas season, Aetheria On Earth is a whimsical, heartwarming fantasy adventure for readers who love found family, gentle magic, and a heroine ready for her first great adventure. Perfect for readers of cottagecore-inflected, cozy fantasy who love a plucky young heroine, a touch of gentle mystery, and a story that wraps you up like a warm blanket.

Finally, a new fantasy perfect for the winter holidays, a book to set beside The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell, and A Christmas Carol.
