If nursing is about care, who care for the caregivers in the era of HIV and AIDS? Nursing is a noble profession composed of the members, who are human beings, part and parcel of the general population. What hinders the general public, it has impact on nurses as well. Factors contributing to HIV and AIDS transmission among student nurses is also experienced by other cadre in every walks of life. The message is clear that HIV and AIDS does not discriminate. The content of this book is vital to all, it plays an important role to help people to recognize that health workers need help, care, and counseling service despite the expectation that they have knowledge about caring. They need someone to take for them, a pillar to hold them when burnout and despair manifest. The author is nurse, lecturer at faculty of Health Sciences, school of Nursing, Oshakati Campus at the University of Namibia. Sher is teaching epidemiology and nutrition module for the fourth year nursing students, and has extensive experience in community and public health field.
