Ancient Christianity: The Essentials is a foundational study for new believers and seasoned Christians alike. New believers will discover the historic doctrines of our Christian faith and learn practical principles to navigate life. Seasoned believers will be reinvigorated, encouraged, and equipped with a biblical basis to defend their faith.

This resource can be used as new members, new believers, small group, or Sunday
School curriculum. The twelve teachings include: the Bible, the deity of Jesus Christ, salvation basics, the person of the Holy Spirit, the baptism of the Holy Spirit, the Church, spiritual disciplines, spiritual gifts, spiritual warfare, the End Times, and apostasy.

As a Spirit-filled pastor, the author believes there is a need to get back to the basic teachings of the early church. Dr. Kitchens presents biblical truths from a Spirit-filled, Pentecostal perspective reinforced with Scripture. Having pastored Southern Baptist churches for 22 years and graduating from two Baptist seminaries, the author provides a thoroughly biblical and balanced approach.
