Author Leian T. Williams has spent twenty-seven years in the staffing industry serving this population, work she is now expanding into second-chance hiring initiatives built for returning citizens. When her own daughter was incarcerated, Scripture carried her through every call and visit, and that season became the foundation for this book. She now volunteers with nationally recognized prison ministry organizations, leads a weekly devotional group in Atlanta, and has piloted this material in jail Bible studies and church-based reentry groups long before publication.
