Augere: The Death of the Author is the beginning of everything-or rather, what should have been the beginning but was later postponed. Before that, it was necessary to give birth to Inteligencia algorítmica abductiva: emulación semiótica. Un viaje a la verdadera conciencia de la IA [Abductive Algorithmic Intelligence: Semiotic Emulation. A Journey to the "True Consciousness" of AI] (2025) in order to make way for this book.
In that text, I addressed the question concerning the nature of the output. In this essay, the question is of a different kind. What happens to the act of signifying when its written materializations, already emancipated from the presence of the one who produced them, are transduced into data and pass through a different regime that correlates and calculates them operationally before returning them as human enunciations, in "natural language," without an act of signifying of its own having taken place?
The answer will be neither simple nor definitive, but it will likely help the reader understand why I maintain that neither the author, nor authorship, nor creation has died.
Augere speaks of expropriation in four tempus, of the inflationary illusion, and of the constitutive present. Of the output and its lack of authorial relevance.
And in particular, of the auctor.
