Baptisms & Covenants

A new beginning begins with faith. A lasting journey begins with a covenant.

What does it truly mean to follow Jesus Christ, make sacred promises with Heavenly Father, and begin a new chapter of your life?

In Baptisms & Covenants: From the Waters of Baptism to the House of the Lord, author Marquis Dycus shares his personal journey of discovering the beauty of baptism, the power of repentance, and the sacred responsibilities that come with making covenants with God.

Through heartfelt reflections, scripture-based teachings, and meaningful personal experiences, Marquis explores the possibility of receiving a clean slate, overcoming the fear of the unknown, and developing a stronger relationship with Jesus Christ.

From his unforgettable first visit to the Indianapolis Indiana Temple to his decision to be baptized at 21 years old, Marquis invites readers to consider how faith can influence the direction of their lives.

Rooted in the teachings of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, this book examines the importance of baptism, the gift of the Holy Ghost, the promises associated with covenants, and the lifelong journey of Christian discipleship.

Whether you are preparing for baptism, seeking to better understand your covenants, or simply hoping to draw closer to Heavenly Father, this book offers an encouraging reminder that spiritual growth is possible at every stage of life.

Baptism is only the beginning. The covenant journey continues throughout our lives.
