I wasn't searching for true love.

I was searching for God.

After broken chapters and years of trying to understand who He was calling me to become, love arrived in a way I never expected. And when it did, I started writing.

I wrote when I missed her. I wrote when gratitude overwhelmed me. I wrote about desire, laughter, prayer, marriage, fear, forgiveness, and the sacred responsibility of choosing the same person again and again.

Those words eventually became this book.

They were written to my wife, but perhaps there is something inside them for you.

For the person who has wondered whether true love still exists.

For the person carrying scars from a chapter they thought would define the rest of their story.

For the person who has prayed, waited, questioned, healed, started over, or wondered whether God has forgotten them.

This is not a story about perfect love.

It is about two imperfect people learning to love faithfully while keeping God at the center.

It is about discovering that some of life's greatest blessings don't arrive according to our timing.

And it is about hope.

Because sometimes the most beautiful chapters of our lives begin after the ones we never thought we would survive.
