The visionary author, Dr. Denise Nicholson, attended a retreat for women led by Lisa Nichols, the internationally known speaker, mentor and world-renowned change maker. As a curator of transformational experiences, Dr. Nicholson thought this would be another relaxing, content-gathering vacation. This turned out to be one of the most awe-inspiring places to be as a black woman which ignited many transformational experiences.

The retreat was filled with approximately 36 other black women from all over the world searching for the next step after achieving several important goals in their lives. They were all accomplished leaders, working on becoming the best versions of themselves.
