What happened had to happen. She spent a long time blaming herself for everything. It was the 5 pounds that she had received days before at the post office that had a message in it that read, 'God is so good' and on the other side it said, 'Jesus is Lord.' She knew she had to pass this note on now on this occasion. It was a nice memory for her to have done something good. Now there was no money in her pocket, without a plane ticket. Stranded. What would she do?
Now that he was in front of her nose, a sweet apple smell rose. It reminded her of something she had long forgotten. It was the smell of home. This is how it always smelled at grandma, she will never forget that.
