CHAPTER 1 - FIRST TWO PARAGRAPHS
Hugo had never heard a mountain sing. Yet Grandma Asta had promised there was such a place in the winter landscapes of Lapland in northern Sweden. That morning, she had sent him to the fallen birch with a picnic, snowshoes, and just one clue: listen before you hurry on.
His friend Lo walked beside him on quiet paws. The lynx's ear tufts trembled as a bird flew past. Hugo pulled his golden cloudberry hat over his ears and spotted a roll of birch bark on the trunk. Blue yarn held it closed. "If that's a breakfast menu, I hope it's long," Lo said.
This is only a glimpse of the world ahead, full of surprises, secrets, and unexpected turns. Readers will discover much more of the adventure inside the book. There is still so much to explore, and the journey has only begun. The real adventure unfolds within the pages, where the story deepens and new dimensions open as Hugo and Lo learn to listen, think together, and see the winter landscape in a new way.
