The field of image processing is constantly expanding, and the number of images on the web continues to grow. This has created a need to improve and develop image search capabilities for a large number of users. Image content-based search engines represent one of the most widespread solutions for meeting user needs. This thesis is centered on this context, examining the various existing solutions as well as the techniques used in this type of search. Furthermore, it proposes the core of a content-based image indexing and search solution, covering requirements specification, design, and implementation, followed by testing.
