What's the relation between Tokyo and cod fish with garlic potato mash? How can we combine New York and endorphins? What is in common between a marathon and a burger? How can a running podcast be linked to six metropolitan cities?
You will find answers to these questions and many more in the book "It's a long road" by George Savvidis. In an arresting and effortless storytelling, he shares his experiences, his personal battles, and the "marathons" he has accomplished so far in his running journey. This journey has not been a smooth one, and for this exact reason fellow runners can relate. It brings forward the magic, but also the difficulties of running at its true dimensions.
In the book "It's a long road", the writer, who is also the producer of the homonymous podcast, is describing in every detail the great moments, but also all the troubles, stress and misfortunes that he experienced from starting to run, till the point he achieved his dream to become a Six Star Finisher, that is to complete the six largest marathons globally.
Having accomplished unique running experiences, he is rightfully able to urge us: "Don't be afraid to get out of your comfort zone and never stop dreaming!"
