Jyotish Prabodh

Naradji states: "Without this [astrology], no Vedic or Smarta ritual can be successfully accomplished; therefore, it was created by Brahma in ancient times for the welfare of the world." The word 'Jyotish' (Astrology) signifies "that which provides light." Just as a lamp dispels darkness and reveals the path, astrology illuminates the possibilities, challenges, and opportunities of life. It is not a science of fatalism, but rather a science based on the integrated study of action (*Karma*), time, and potential. The present work, "Jyotish Prabodh," is divided into seven independent yet interconnected sections: 1. Vedic Astrology - Introduction and Fundamental Principles; 2. Vedic Astrology - Samhita Skandha; 3. Vedic Astrology - Hora Shastra; 4. Vedic Astrology - Jaimini Astrology; 5. Vedic Astrology - KP Astrology; 6. Vedic Astrology - Nadi Astrology; 7. Vedic Astrology - Siddhanta Skandha, Panchang, and the construction of horoscopes/birth charts. Through these seven sections, readers will be able to undertake a systematic study of the entire tradition of Vedic astrology. Each chapter has been structured to ensure a balanced understanding of both theory and practice.
