The Book, KING DAVID OF ISRAEL unveils the greatest king of Israel, the ancestor and type of Jesus Christ, anointed as a king and prophet, just like Melchizedek and Jesus the King of Glory; listed in the Hall of Faith in Hebrews 11 and a man described by God Himself as a man after His own heart who would obey Him and do what He commands (Acts 13:22). He came into limelight after the killing of the Philistine's giant, Goliath, in a Conflict/Battle of Decisions (Choices) or Battle between two gods.
He was famously called "the Sweet Psalmist of Israel in the Bible as he wrote many (73 or75 or 85 Psalms) beautiful songs and prayers of worship". Other occupations- Shepherd, Musician, Poet, Soldier
The Hebrew Bible explicitly names about 8 to 9 major recorded military campaigns and individual fights for King David though popular tradition and sermons often state he fought 66 battles without a single loss (some asserted 44 battles).
The Tabernacle of David, a sanctuary on Mount Zion in Jerusalem where King David placed the Ark of the Covenant and was distinct for its 24/7 Continuous Worship, Praise and Instrumental Music, operated by thousands of Levites without traditional veil of separation that marked the Mosaic Tabernacle. The Tabernacle of David explains God's plan for both Jews and Gentiles in the End time (Isa 54:1-10). David's Tabernacle also emphasizes the importance of Music, Instruments, Dance and Sincere praise and Modern worship expressions.
The "Fallen Tabernacle of David" means a decline or neglect of the vibrant, sincere worship and God's presence that David's Tabernacle represented. When the Priests, Kings and entire Israel became defiled, went after marrying foreign women, abandoned their priestly roles and sanctity thus profaned the sanctuaries, sacrifices, services and forsook their vows, embraced idolatrous practices of the heathen nations, Israel abandoned their loyalty to Jehovah, were engrossed in unfaithfulness, hatefully slew their prophets, broke the Sabbath and so on.
This restoration includes renewed focus on genuine, passionate worship, God's divine plan to bring both the Jews and the Gentiles into His kingdom, enforcing unity and brotherly love among the people of God, a move towards an expansive, Spirit-filled worship era, fulfilled in Jesus Christ and the Church, reviving the authentic, sincere worship and God's presence which David Tabernacle represented where Jesus Christ through His death and resurrection unites the Jews and the Gentiles.
The Davidic Covenant with eternal or everlasting significances (Eschatological and Messianic) is God's unconditional promise to King David where He vowed to establish David's royal lineage, dynasty and throne forever, guaranteeing that an Eternal Ruler- the Messiah-would come from his physical descendants, with ultimate importance that lies in establishing the ancestral line of the Messiah, directly leading to the birth, Eternal Reign and Salvation through Jesus Christ.
The Davidic Covenant establishes the reality and legality of Jesus future rule over Israel from David's throne (Luk 1:32-33). While this title gives the Lord Jesus the right to rule over Israel, it does not authorized Him to rule over the earth. His right to rule over the earth, which was given Him as an inheritance, is by divine appointment (Psa 2:6-9; Heb 1:5,6; Psa 110:5, 6; Phil 2:5-11). His rule over both dominions will be Messianic, as the father's slave and Vice roy (Isa 2:1-4; Isa 42:1-12). In Davidic as the Covenant of Administration, God was preparing the way for the perfect man after Adam's fall to exercise perfect dominion and carry out the perfect ruling administration of the whole world.
Other topics covered are the Triumphs of David, Why God Delighted in David, the Davidic Dance, David's Worshippers, the Mighty Men of David, God's Handwriting upon David, the Last Census etc.
