Since 1999, Sheila Dembowski has been diagnosed with a rare autoimmune disease, Myasthenia Gravis, and with fibromyalgia, both of which sent her and those around her on a journey of both challenges and truimphs. Along the way, Sheila also experienced the loss of a close friend to cancer and witnessed the illness and death of her father to dementia.
