It also considers the Greek philosophical heritage that helped shape Muslim reflections on desire, beauty, and the nature of existence.
Moving between philosophy, spirituality, and poetry, the book enters a world in which earthly and divine love continually mirror one another. Here, love is longing and knowledge, suffering and transformation-a force that wounds and heals, separates and unites, and ultimately leads the seeker beyond the self toward the deepest mysteries of existence.
