The Moon went silent. The base did not.

When Shackleton Research Base suddenly stops responding, Earth can still see its lights, power systems and heat signature. Nothing appears damaged. Nothing explains why six people have vanished.

Among the final messages sent before the blackout are two lines addressed to communications engineer Daniel Mercer by his estranged older brother, Nathan:

Daniel joins a recovery mission to the lunar south pole, expecting a systems failure, an accident, perhaps even sabotage.
