Making New Friends

As a mom of 2 boys, and an avid reader, it is important to me that my boys cultivate a love of reading, but also possess strong morals and values that allow them to become productive world citizens. After going through hundreds of kids books, I realized books that teach children important life lessons, in a verysimple form, are missing. Simple things such as kindness, being non judgemental, patience and more are missing from early-childrens literature. As a result of the need and based on real life events, Making New Friends came to life. Making New Friends is the first in a series of books designed to help children learn important morals and values in a simple, colorful and fun way. In this book, The Flyers, all seem to be realitvely the same. A new student, who looks different from The Flyers enrolls in school. Feeling scared, Flyer Junior takes it upon himself to try and make a new friend, but is scared he may lose his other friends for talking to someone different. Children will enjoy the friendly planes and bright colors. As children become older Making New Friends is a simple to read, short book that can be used as a first reader.
