-- Born in Alsace, Suzanne Eck lived in Strasbourg before entering into the Dominican Convent of Unterlinden in Colmar. Naturally drawn to the mystics of the Rhineland (Eckhart, Tauler and Suso), she explored their works devotedly, becoming one of their most distinguished specialists. In this book, she assembles her principal studies to produce a selection that is not a global initiation; rather an anthology, evoking a wide variety of subjects, such as the astonishing 'school of spirituality' constituted by the writings of the Rhineland mystics, 'preachers of grace'.
