About the author
Originally from Hungary, Mariann Jakab has been living in the United Kingdom for well over twenty years. From an early age, she has loved animals and has always kept small pets: cats, rabbits, a guinea pig and more recently quails. Her interest in quails started with Sunny, whom she raised since he hatched. In the beginning his feathers were bright yellow in colour - hence his name! She became fascinated by these gentle and unique little birds who are the inspiration for this little book.
