REQUIEM

How does one address a group of family members and friends to memorialize a woman who lived 92 years, that loved her daughter and son no matter their mistakes and dangerous choices? Suffering from grief and stage fright, Louis "Louie" O'Brian searches for the words that could serve as a tribute to a woman that loved everyone and received that love in return. Margaret "Maggie" O'Brian was such a woman.
Maggie raised two children without financial or any other aid from her husband, Walter, a chronic drunk devoted only to himself. Yet, when asked about her ex-husband, Maggie's response remained the same, "I still love the man."
Maggie's love radiated as a shining example of the phrase "Love and you will be loved."
Maggie loved people and people loved her. In a room full of strangers, people seemed to gravitate towards her, and she would have made friends with them all. She emanated love and she received love in return.
This is the story of a woman who lived the last words sung and recorded by The Beatles on their final album Abbey Road. The song is titled "The End."
"And in the end, the love you take is equal to the love you make."
