Frank Netherwood and Grant Bjornson find themselves on another adventure in history. After more than a year, the mysterious blue door reappears and transports them back to ancient Scandinavia. In the process of shaping history, they face many challenges as they renew old friendships and forge new ones. In addition to embarking on several long ocean voyages, being extensively immersed in ancient culture and enjoying the ubiquitous Viking feasts they had previously grown to love, they find themselves facing deadly battles, being captured and imprisoned by a tyrant, surviving the threat of execution and fleeing for their lives as they are pursued by vengeful Viking antagonists.

THE DOOR is a book that explores how disparate cultures can cooperate, communicate and eventually experience genuine love, in spite of the many complications that try to separate them. It is also an interesting and figurative glimpse into an ancient culture that very few people are familiar with. It is the second installment in the Unlikely Travelers series.
