The Transylvanian Folklore Files: Volume Two gathers three illustrated works of folk horror rooted in the cultural landscape beyond the forest: isolated villages, old Catholic communities, mountain roads and places where the past survives not in official records, but in warnings passed quietly from one generation to the next.

Presented in the form of collected testimonies, these stories treat the supernatural with the seriousness of those who have lived too close to it to dismiss it. Their horror grows from human cruelty, silence, corrupted authority, persecuted faith and the long memory of rural communities.

Here, the boundary between folklore and reality does not collapse in spectacle. It wears thin slowly, until ordinary explanations are no longer enough.

This is Transylvanian horror without romantic castles or familiar vampire legends. It belongs to forests entered only in daylight, villages that protect their secrets, abandoned homes, forgotten graves and roads on which the living are not always travelling alone.

The volume contains three complete works and twenty-five original woodcut-style illustrations created to evoke old chronicles, village records and nineteenth-century engravings.
