About the Author: Veronica Voncile grew up in Birmingham, Alabama, and moved to live with her great-grandmother in Jefferson, Texas, where her sexual abuse occurred. She was encouraged to write this book about her childhood experiences. She admires those who have been a victim, but have found the courage to speak out and share their story to help others realize they are not alone. The author now lives in Hampton, Virginia, where she founded a sexual abuse support organization.
