When your world falls apart: Faith in a post-pandemic world deals with personal experiences and lessons that Scripture recounts on matters of truth and faith, which give us a lens for dealing with difficult questions after many have suffered during the pandemic. It also serves to encourage those in ministry and perhaps help them navigate through difficult periods when God feels so distant and centre them on the realities of what God has tasked them to manage in the coming days. This book is not traditional in many ways but provides some nuggets that may be relevant to many faculties. Truth is able to be a propositional reflection of that which is inherently the answer to a question. It is the absolute standard by which reality should be measured. It's God's view on any subject matter. It may be thought of as something external from yourself. In other words, if something is true, then it does not matter whether you agree with it or not. This has become the basis for most scientific belief: that science cannot be untrue, because it provides evidence for its claims. Which is true, but for different reasons. Science is an activity that seeks to understand how God creates or expresses creation in a material world. It is quite a claim to believe that the notion of "my truth" versus "your truth" although one can think in terms of "my belief" and "your perspective" as a fair engagement with matters of truth.
