Wild Rush Creek

Some Secrets Drown Never to Resurface.

Hidden deep within the remote New Zealand bush during the 1950s, Creek House is unlike any other boarding school.

Founded by two idealistic English women, the progressive primary school offers children a life of creativity, freedom and adventure. Instead of rigid classrooms, days include painting, dancing, riding horses, swimming in the creek and roaming free in the surrounding wilderness.

But beneath the beauty of this secluded paradise, not everything is as idyllic as it seems.

As tensions rise between two part-time handymen, a tragedy shatters the peaceful community. And when one pupil embarks on a search for the truth about her parents, long-buried secrets threaten to expose a scandal that could destroy the school's carefully protected world.

Inspired by an actual school in the 1950's and the author's own childhood experiences, Wild Rush Creek is a compelling work of historical fiction that blends mystery, family secrets and drama against the unforgettable backdrop of rural New Zealand.

Perfect for readers who enjoy atmospheric historical fiction, literary mysteries, boarding school novels and stories inspired by true events.
