A plague of parasitic alien creatures has taken over the globe. Only a handful of uninfected survivors remain. Engineering student Franck Vasiliev is one of them.
When Franck and a handful of others seek refuge inside Winterhaven Retirement Castle, they soon discover that stone walls may protect them from the horrifying creatures outside, but nowhere is truly safe. As winter sets in supplies run out, and the group is pushed to the very edge of human endurance.
Donning his great-grandfather's WWII military cap for courage, Franck vows to keep the group alive no matter the cost. Can he defeat the insurmountable odds stacked against them, and safeguard some of the last remaining members of the human race?
