In Sylacauga, Alabama, Marcus, Tiana, Devon, Aaliyah, and Eric grow up together in Woodhill Apartments, where a cracked basketball court becomes the center of their childhood world. They are different in personality and ambition, but the promise they make as kids binds them like family.
