Low budget US horror written and directed by Larry Cohen. When a strange white substance comes bubbling up out of the Earth, it is discovered to be extremely tasty and marketed as a replacement for ice cream. However, after a fast food company starts selling the substance in supermarkets, it soon becomes apparent that it is actually a deadly supernatural entity which eats people from the inside out and turns them into crazed zombies. With the country in crisis it is left to former FBI agent David 'Mo' Rutherford (Michael Moriarty) to find the goo's origins and destroy it.
